Halliday receives MRGC weekly honors for second time this season

PROVO, Utah – Senior Makenzie Johnson Halliday was named the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference Gymnast of the Week for the second time this season.

Halliday received this honor three weeks ago for her performance against Boise State and UC Davis in Provo. 

Halliday won the all-around with a 39.175 at Southern Utah, scoring a 9.800 on vault, a 9.775 on bars, a 9.750 on beam and a 9.850 on floor as the Cougars finished second to the Thunderbirds, 195.975-194.000. She also took home third place on floor and vault. 

BYU will host Utah State this Friday in a head-to head MRGC meet for its second home meet of the season. The event will begin at 7 p.m. MST in the Smith Fieldhouse.
