Cougars hit the road to take on Aggies for last regular season meet
PROVO, Utah – BYU gymnastics hits the road to take on Utah State for the third time this season on Friday.
“It’s our last meet before heading to the conference championship, so we’re excited,” BYU gymnastics coach Brad Cattermole said. “They’re a great team. We struggled on the beam last week, but we hope to finish out the season strong and put together a solid meet.”
The Cougars placed third last week with a total score of 194.400 in a tri-meet with Central Michigan and Utah State. The Aggies finished in second with a 195.100.
Junior Makenzie Johnson won the all-around in the tri-meet by earning a 39.275 and was named Mountain Rim Gymnastics Gymnast of the Week for her performance. BYU also recorded a team season-high 49.050 on bars last Friday.
The meet will begin at 7 p.m. MDT at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum in Logan, Utah. Live stats can be found on the BYU gymnastics schedule page.
