Cougars compete at Boise State on Friday

PROVO, Utah – Following a third-place finish in a tri-meet with Denver and Iowa, BYU gymnastics stays on the road to take on No. 15 Boise State on Friday.

“Boise is a great team and we’re excited to go up there,” BYU gymnastics coach Brad Cattermole said. “We’ve done pretty well up there in the past. We’re going to shoot for a score in the 196s to help us in the rankings.”

The Cougars registered their third highest score of the season with a 195.425 last week and season highs on the vault and floor with a 49.175 and 49.150, respectively.

Jordan Schult earned a career high on the vault with a 9.875, while Jill Van Mierlo recorded career highs on bars and floor exercise with a 9.800 and 9.900, respectively.

In their last meeting, the Broncos came out on top in the tri-meet against BYU at the Smith Fieldhouse.

The meet will begin at 7 p.m. MST at the Taco Bell Arena in Boise, Idaho. Live stats can be found on the BYU gymnastics schedule page
