Cougars welcome Broncos and Pioneers Saturday afternoon
PROVO, Utah – BYU gymnastics welcomes No. 15 Boise State and No. 19 Denver to the Smith Fieldhouse on Saturday after bringing home its second win of the season last Friday.
“We’re moving in the right direction and we’re happy to have a meet with two really good teams, so we’ll see what happens,” BYU gymnastics head coach Brad Cattermole said. “It’ll be an afternoon meet, which will be fun with all the kids having a chance to watch.”
Makenzie Johnson and Jordan Schult recorded career-highs on the beam with a 9.900 and 9.775, respectively, with the Cougars scoring a season-high 195.675 against Southern Utah on the road.
Boise State won its last meet with a total score of 195.975, while Denver fell on the road with a 195.900.
BYU looks to come out on top after finishing behind both teams in all meets in the 2014 season.
The meet will begin at 1 p.m. MST televised live on BYUtv with live stats found on the BYU gymnastics schedule page.
