PROVO, Utah – BYU gymnastics continues its string of away meets as it travels to Logan, Utah, to face the Utah State Aggies on Friday at 7 p.m. MST at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.

With an all-around average score of 38.925, sophomore Makenzie Johnson ranks No. 4 in the region. Junior KayCee Gassaway tied a career high in vault and set a personal best on the floor routine in the first two meets of the year.

In their first two meets of 2014, the Cougars have averaged 194.675, good for No. 4 in the region. The Aggies, who have won their two meets this year, are No. 6 in the region as they score 194.500 per meet. Utah State, also a member of the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Championship, has not started with a winning streak since 1999 until this season.
