Las Vegas Showdown
BOULDER CITY, Nev. — The BYU women’s golf team’s first round went to the house as the Cougars had a hard time finding the hole during the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown Monday.
The Cougars are 15th overall in the tournament, but are making progress.
"We did a lot of things well," BYU coach Carrie Roberts said. "We're getting closer to putting it all together."
Maggie Yuan leads the Cougars, tied for 25th overall. Yuan shot a team-low 72 in the first round. Behind Yuan are Ashley Malaska and Lauren Atkinson, tied for 58th. Amanda Keith and Maria Yacaman are also competing for the Cougars.
