SAMMAMISH, Wash — Overcast weather proved to be a dampener on the BYU women’s golf team’s first round as it struggled at the Sahalee Country Club Monday.

The Cougars are tied for 11th overall in the tournament, but have two more rounds to make up ground.

After the first round of the tournament Maggie Yuan leads the Cougars, tied for 24th overall. Yuan shot a team-low 77 in the first round. Behind Yuan are Ashley Malaska and Lauren Atkinson, both tied for 39th.

The Cougars will resume tournament play on Tuesday.
