Cougars in Position After Two Rounds

YORBA LINDA -- The BYU women's golf team began spring tournament play Monday, finishing the first to rounds in eighth place at The Gold Rush in Yorba Linda, Calif.

Coming off of a career-best finish at the Turtle Bay Invitational in November where she tied for seventh place, sophomore Kelsey Vines led the Cougars on day one, finishing in 14th place after a second-round 76.

After three-consecutive top-20 individual finishes during fall competition, senior Jade Bollinger shot rounds of 80 and 82 to move into a tie for 27th place going into the final round.

Maggie Yuan and Annika Afoa finished tied for 32nd and 39th respectively. Amanda Keith sits in a tie for 45th place.

Senior Emily Copier, who is competing as an individual, finished day one tied for 18th place overall after consecutive rounds of 79.
