Long moves to quarterfinals in the Utah Women’s State Amateur Tournament
PARK CITY, Utah – Berlin Long advanced to the quarterfinals of the Utah Women’s State Amateur Tournament after winning both match play rounds on Wednesday at Jeremy Ranch Golf and Country Club.
In the round of 32, Long gained a quick lead as she was up four holes at the turn. The rising sophomore came out on top after beating Lily Shin four and two. Later in the afternoon, Long competed with Pati Uluave and once again found herself four and three at the end of the round of 16.
Long will tee it off again at Jeremy Ranch Golf and Country Club in the quarterfinals on Thursday, with her eyes set on the semifinals later Thursday afternoon.
