Cougars host first Riverside Classic, April 10-11

PROVO, Utah — BYU women’s golf will host eight teams in the inaugural Riverside Classic at Riverside Country Club, April 10-11 in Provo.

“We are super excited to host this tournament at Riverside,” said BYU head coach Carrie Roberts. “I’m especially excited for the opportunity our girls will have to play in front of Cougar Nation. It’s a thrill to host at home and we are grateful to Riverside Country Club for allowing us to host this event.”

Allysha Mae Mateo, Annick Haczkiewicz, Kerstin Fotu, Lila Galeai and Alexa Udom will make up the Cougar squad for the first Riverside Classic. Additionally, Adeline Anderson, Berlin Long and Sunbin Seo will compete for the individual title.

Riverside Country Club will play host to eight teams for BYU's first home event since 2014. The 6,520-yard par-72 track will provide a strong test for five top-100 teams.

The Cougars at No. 70, in the GolfStat NCAA D1 Women's rankings, will be joined by No. 37 Denver, No. 59 Sacramento State, No. 80 New Mexico State, No. 93 San Diego State, Fresno State, Northern Illinois and Utah Valley for the 54-hole championship.

First round tee times will begin at 9 a.m. MDT on Monday, followed by the second round, beginning at approximately 2 p.m. MDT. The final round will begin at 9 a.m. MDT on Tuesday. Live scoring for the championship will be available at golfstat.com.
