BOCA RATON, Fla. — Allysha Mae Mateo posted a 7-under total to take third at the FAU Paradise Invitational as BYU women's golf finished fourth at Osprey Golf Club on Tuesday.

"I am really proud of this team for moving up three spots and starting off the spring on the right note," said BYU head coach Carrie Roberts. "The girls did a great job dialing in, adjusting to the windy conditions and posting some good scores down the stretch."

Mateo notched her third top-3 finish of the season, the 10th of her career, after firing rounds of 67-72-70—209. The senior's 5-under 67 in round one matched her low round of the year as she carded three birdies and an eagle.

"I'm super proud of Allysha and how she played this week," said Roberts. "She has been such a steady force for our team. Mae knows herself and her game extremely well which helps her execute at a high level in virtually any conditions."

Alexa Udom finished in a tie for 20th to earn her first collegiate top-25 finish in Florida. The sophomore carded seven birdies en route to a 1-over-par 54-hole total after shooting 72-72-73—217.

Adeline Anderson took home her first top-25 finish of the season with rounds of 72-77-69—218. The sophomore carded a bogey-free final round to shoot a 3-under 69, her lowest round of the year.

Lila Galeai shot 74-77-77—228 while Annick Haczkiewicz rounded out the scoring for the Cougars with rounds of 81-75-76—232.

BYU will be back in action they head to San Diego, California for the Lamkin Invitational, Feb. 13-14.
