BYU women's golf open 2022-23 season at USF Intercollegiate
PROVO, Utah — BYU women’s golf will kick off its 2022-23 campaign as they tee it up at the USF Intercollegiate, Sept. 12-13 at The Olympic Club in San Francisco.
“We are super excited to get our season started,” said BYU head coach Carrie Roberts. “We have an experienced group and feel we are deep enough to really make some noise this year.”
Allysha Mae Mateo, Kerstin Fotu, Adeline Anderson, Sunbin Seo and Lila Galeai will get the start for the Cougars as they begin their quest to return to an NCAA regional for the second-straight year.
BYU will be paired with the University of Colorado Buffalos and will tee off in an 8:30 shotgun tomorrow morning.
The 54-hole championship will take place at the 5,976-yard Ocean Course at The Olympic Club. The par-71 course has hosted numerous local, state, regional and national championships including the 2004 U.S. Junior Amateur, 2007 U.S. Amateur and 2015 inaugural U.S. Four-Ball Championship.
The Cougars are coming off a year in which they grabbed three team titles, finished runner-up at the WCC Championship and qualified for the NCAA Franklin Regional, where they finished 7th. They look to improve upon that success in their final season before joining the Big 12 next fall.
Live scoring for the USF Intercollegiate will be available at golfstat.com and live updates will be posted on the BYU women’s golf Instagram and twitter accounts.
