BYU seeks WCC crown at Reflection Bay
HENDERSON, Nev. — BYU women's golf heads to Nevada, April 22-24, in search of its fourth West Coast Conference title in the past six years.
The 2022 version of the WCC Championship will be hosted by Reflection Bay Golf Club, a par-72 championship course that will measure 6,347-yards for the tournament.
BYU will be paired with Pepperdine and San Francisco on Thursday, with tee times beginning at 7:50 a.m. PDT.
Annick Haczkiewicz, Allysha Mae Mateo, Lila Galeai, Adeline Anderson and Kerstin Fotu will compete for the Cougars in the 54-hole championship. The BYU five has combined for 21 top-25 finishes and six top-10's in nine events during the 2021-22 season.
The Cougars enter the conference championship having won three times during the year. BYU took home back-to-back team championships in the fall at the Dick McGuire Invitational (Sept. 13-14) and the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship (Sept. 20-21) to kick off the season.
BYU also won the team title at the Texas State Invitational (Feb. 7-8) and completed the sweep with Haczkiewicz taking home the individual crown.
Since joining the WCC in 2011-12, the Cougars have won the women's golf championships three times—2016, 2017 and 2018. BYU enters the 2022 event ranked No. 39 in the country, the highest ranked team in the conference.
Live scoring of the championship will be available at golfstat.com.
