Cougars head to Chambers Bay for final event before WCC Tourney

PROVO, Utah — BYU women’s golf will tee it up at the Chambers Bay Invitational in University Place, Washington, April 11-12.

The Cougars will join an 18-team field that includes host Seattle, Boise State, Colorado State, Denver, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, Idaho, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Pepperdine, Sacramento State, San Francisco, SMU, No. 15 UCLA, Washington and Wyoming.

Annick Haczkiewicz, Allysha Mae Mateo, Lila Galeai, Adeline Anderson and Kerstin Fotu will tee it up for BYU, with Maddie White and Alexa Udom competing as individuals.

The tournament will be played at Chambers Bay Golf Course, a par-72, links style golf course that will play 6,046 yards this week. Chambers Bay hosted the U.S. Amateur in 2010 and the U.S. Open in 2015. 

Seniors Haczkiewicz and Mateo h continue to lead the Cougars during the spring season. Haczkiewicz is coming off her sixth straight top-25 while Mateo has recorded three top-16 finishes in her last four events.

The Cougars will play 36-holes on Monday with the final round of 18-holes on Tuesday. Live scoring will be available on Birdie Fire.
