NAPA, Calif. — Annick Haczkiewicz and Allysha Mae Mateo are tied for 25th after the second round of the Silverado Showdown, Tuesday.

After an opening round 76, Mateo bounced back with a 1-over-par 71 in round two to jump 18-spots up the leaderboard into the top-25. Haczkiewicz posted a 77 in the second round to also tie for 25th with 18-holes remaining tomorrow.

No. 5 San Jose State continues to lead with rounds of 287-290—577 and holds an eight-shot advantage over No. 2 Oregon who finished at 288-297—585. No. 11 Texas A&M held onto third after posting 294-292—586 through 36-holes. Arizona posted a second-round 292 to move up a spot into fourth followed by Northwestern who rounds out the top five with rounds of 300-293—593.

In each of the first two rounds, the par-72 Silverado Resort allowed only seven under-par rounds with no team breaking par through 36-holes.

"The greens are very difficult and the fairways are really narrow so it’s tough to score when you don't put yourself in the right spots," said BYU head coach Carrie Roberts. "We just haven't hit the ball well this week, but we need to find a way to claw back into it tomorrow."

Rounding out the Cougar scoring was Adeline Anderson, who carded rounds of 76-80—156, Lila Galeai at 82-79—161 and Maddie White with rounds of 82-81—163.

The Cougars will tee off at 8 a.m. PDT for the final round and will be paired with individual competitors from UCLA, Stanford, Oregon, Colorado and Arizona State. Live scoring for the final 18-holes will be available at golfstat.com.
