BYU women's golf picked second in WCC preseason coaches poll
SAN MATEO, California – BYU women’s golf was picked to finish second in the 2020-21 WCC Preseason Coaches Poll released Wednesday.
The Cougars received 14 points and two first-place votes, just one point shy of Pepperdine who was picked to finish first with a total of 15 points and three first-place votes. Rounding out the WCC Preseason Poll was San Francisco (10), Gonzaga (7) and Santa Clara (4).
The WCC’s five women’s golf head coaches voted on the poll but could not vote for their own team.
BYU will face Pepperdine at the Julie Inkster Invitational in Fairfax, California at The Meadow Club on Monday and Tuesday March 8-9.
All five of the WCC’s women’s golf programs will compete against each other at the conference tournament in Las Vegas April 22-24.
