SAMMAMISH, Wash. — BYU women’s golf travels to Sammamish, Washington next week to compete in the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invite at the Sahalee Country Club Oct. 8-9.

This year marks the third consecutive season the Cougars have participated in the Ihlanfeldt Invite, with the team placing seventh at last year’s tournament. Naomi Soifua and Allysha Mae Mateo both finished in the top 30 individually last year, tying for 24th and 30th place, respectively.

BYU is coming off its best finish of the season so far after taking second at the Coeur d’Alene Collegiate. Four different Cougars posted top-15 finishes at the tournament, including Mateo, who recorded her first career first-place finish. Mateo and the rest of the team look to keep their momentum heading into next week’s tournament.

The team will play the first 36 holes on Tuesday, Oct. 8, followed by a final round of 18 holes on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Live stats and the full leaderboard can be found at GolfStat.com.
