COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — BYU women’s golf travels to Idaho next week to compete in the Coeur d’Alene Resort Collegiate Sept. 23-24.

This year marks the third season the tournament has been held, with the Cougars placing fifth at Coeur d'Alene last season and third the previous year. Naomi Soifua and Anna Kennedy both recorded top-20 finishes for the Cougars at last year’s tournament.

Soifua is coming off a record performance from BYU’s season-opening tournament earlier this week, where she shot a career-low 64 (-8) in the final round of the WSU Cougar Cup to finish tied for 16th. Kennedy also carries momentum into Coeur d’Alene after posting a two-over 218 and finishing tied for 27th at the WSU Cougar Cup.

BYU will compete alongside 15 other teams, including WCC foe and tournament-host Gonzaga. Utah Valley will also compete in the tournament that will feature two 18-hole rounds on Monday and one on Tuesday.

Live results and the leaderboard for the Coeur d'Alene Collegiate are available at GolfStat.com.
