Huang finishes first round strong at Cle Elum Regional

CLE ELUM, Wash. — Senior Rose Huang of BYU women’s golf had two birdies over the final five holes to finish day one off strong at the Cle Elum NCAA Regional on Monday.

“It wasn’t her best round, but she had a great comeback on the back,” BYU head coach Carrie Roberts said. “We are hoping tomorrow she can put it together for a good round.”

Huang is in 64th place after after shooting a 77 (+5) in the first round. She has two more rounds over the next two days to move into the top three individuals and qualify for nationals. Live stats and the leaderboard can be found at Golfstat.
