ARGYLE, Texas – Rose Huang played two of her best rounds this season on Monday to finish tied for second place heading into the final round of The Bruzzy.

"Rose (Huang) was amazing today and put herself in a great spot to win the tournament," BYU head coach Carrie Roberts said. "Naomi (Soifua) and Allysha Mae (Mateo) both had a great day to help us shoot our lowest rounds of the year."

Huang had six birdies in the first round and five in the second en route to a score of eight-under. She is tied with just one other golfer – Baylor's Gurleen Kaur – and one stroke off the pace set by leader Sofia Garcia of Texas Tech.

The Cougars got to six-under as a team to sit in sixth place among the 15-team field. Allysha Mae Mateo (-1, T21st), Naomi Soifua (E, T28th) and Annick Haczkiewicz (+3, T50th) round out the scoring for BYU. Anna Kennedy shot an 11-over through two rounds.
