PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico – Coming off consecutive fifth-place finishes, BYU women's golf heads to El Tigre Country Club on Thursday to compete in the Hawkeye-El Tigre Invitational.

"We are excited for some good weather and good golf," BYU head coach Carrie Roberts said. "We're hoping to build some momentum going into the end of the season."

Hosted by Iowa, the event entails three 18-hole rounds on three consecutive days. The field consists of 12 teams, with the Cougars as the lone representatives from the West Coast Conference.

BYU's Anna Kennedy had her best tournament of the season last week at the BYU at Entrada Classic, with a three-over par to finish tied for 11th. Annick Haczkiewicz also carries momentum into Mexico, posting an eight-over as an individual to tie for 25th.
