Cougars in 12th after first day of Rebel Beach

LAS VEGAS – BYU women's golf ended the first day of the Rebel Beach Invitational in 12th place on Monday.

"Today was very challenging with the weather," BYU head coach Carrie Roberts said. "It was very cold and windy. I felt like we fought hard and will build upon today."

The Cougars were able to finish the first round and most of the second round before play was suspended. As a team, they shot +44.

Rose Huang led BYU with a score of +9. At the end of the day, she was tied for the 32nd-best score.

Play will resume Tuesday as BYU will finish the second round and play the 18-hole third round. Live results and the leaderboard are available at BirdieFire.com.
