SPOKANE, Wash. – BYU women's golf hits the road for its second tournament of the season, competing in the Coeur d'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational Sep. 24-25 in Spokane, Washington.

"We are working hard to get back to a competitive level," BYU head coach Carrie Roberts said after the team placed 13th at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship earlier this week.

This is the second year the tournament has been held, with the Cougars taking third place overall last year. Current team members Rose Huang and Anna Kennedy both finished in the top 20. BYU looks to be competitive once again this year after being picked to finish first in the West Coast Conference preseason poll.

"Both the team and myself could have played better in the first tournament," Huang said. "But we are prepping by working extra hard on fundamentals and not taking time off even though there is a quick turnaround for the next event."

The team will play 36 holes on Monday, followed by another 18 on Tuesday. Live stats and the leaderboard can be found at GolfStat.com.
