Women's golf travels to Tennessee to compete in Mercedes-Benz Collegiate

PROVO, Utah — BYU women’s golf will compete in its second tournament of the 2017-18 season, as the Cougars travel to Tennessee to participate in the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate on Sept. 18-19 at Cherokee Country Club.

The Cougars placed fourth at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate during the 2016-17 campaign, with Kendra Dalton and Rose Huang tying for 10th place.

This year’s field includes 15 teams, seven of which finished the 2016-17 season ranked in Golfstat’s top 50. Tennessee will host BYU, Coastal Carolina, Eastern Kentucky, East Tennessee State, Illinois, Iowa, Kent State, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, NC State, SMU, UTSA and Wake Forest.

Teams will play 36 holes at Cherokee Country Club (par 71, 5,897/5,840 yards) on Monday, followed by 18 holes on Tuesday.

Tournament competition will begin at 6:30 a.m. MT on Monday, Sept. 18 in a shotgun start. Links to live stats are available on the BYU women’s golf schedule page.
