TULSA, Okla. — Behind top-10 finishes from Rose Huang and Alexandra White, BYU women’s golf sits in third place after 36 holes of the Dale McNamara Invitational on Monday.

"We just didn't have our best stuff today," BYU head coach Carrie Roberts said. "We feel very fortunate to still be in it. The wind was swirling all day, which made for difficult decisions. The solid play by Alex (White) and Rose (Huang) in the second round put us in a position where we can still win this thing."

Through incredibly windy conditions, BYU shot +27 (307) in the first round as a team. The Cougars bounced back, firing +11 (291) in round two. BYU's second round 291 was the second lowest team score of the day. Tulsa carded 288 in the afternoon for Monday's lowest round.

Huang and White led the Cougars, tying for fourth and sixth place, respectively. Huang fired a 70 in the second round after shooting a 75 in the morning round. White carded a 76 in round one, also responding with an even-par second round.

Lauren Atkinson and Brooklyn Hocker are tied for 28th place through 36 holes. Atkinson fired 76-79, while Hocker carded 80-75. Both sit at 15-over-par. Kendra Dalton rounded out the scoring for BYU, shooting 17-over-par.

Aiko Leong and Anna Kennedy competed in the event as individuals. Leong posted 79-73 for a 12-over-par day. The freshman is tied for 18th place. Kennedy shot 25-over on Monday to place 49th.

BYU women's golf will play the third and final round of the Dale McNamara Invitational on Tuesday. Play will resume at 8 a.m. CDT, with the Cougars starting at 8:50 a.m.
