RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. — No. 31 BYU women’s golf competed in two 18-hole matches against the University of Idaho and No. 17 Arizona at the SDSU March Mayhem match-play tournament, winning both matches on Monday.
“I am very proud of how we competed today,” BYU head coach Carrie Roberts said. “We stayed composed the entire day and competed with some of our best golf.”
The Cougars won their first match against the University of Idaho. Seniors Brooklyn Hocker and Alexandra White won their matches 4&2 and 4&3, respectively, and Kendra Dalton beat Sophie Hausmann of Idaho 3&2.
West Coast Conference February Player of the Month Lauren Atkinson and Idaho’s Danika Palm were all square through 18, and Amy Hasenoehrl topped Rose Huang.
