Women travel to Washington for Gonzaga Match Play

PROVO, Utah—BYU women’s golf will participate in its third tournament of the fall season, the Gonzaga Match Play, Oct. 1-3 at the Manito Country Club golf course in Spokane, Washington.

The field consists of six teams, including host and West Coast Conference opponent Gonzaga. The other teams include Idaho, Eastern Washington, Portland State and Seattle University. The Manito Country Club golf course plays at par-70, 6112 yards. The teams will play three rounds of 18 holes, for a total of 54 holes over the three days.

BYU is coming off a first place finish last week in the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational. The Cougars ended the tournament shooting 18-over-par with three of their players finishing in the top-20.

The Cougars will tee off Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. PT. BYU will not compete in the second day of the tournament because it is on a Sunday, but will resume play on Monday, Oct. 3. Live stats can be found on the BYU women’s golf schedule page.
