BYU to compete in Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational

PROVO, Utah -- BYU women’s golf continues its fall season next Monday and Tuesday Sept. 19-20 in the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational at the Almaden Golf and Country Club golf course.

Hosted by San Jose State University, the Cougars will participate in the invitational along with 10 other teams. Gonzaga, Santa Clara and San Francisco will also be representing the West Coast Conference in this tournament. The course will be par-72 and teams will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.

The Cougars are coming off their first tournament of the fall season where they came in fourth at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship. Rose Huang and Kendra Dalton finished tied for tenth place as they shot two-over-par through 54 holes.

In the 2014-15 season, BYU tied for third place with West Coast Conference opponent Santa Clara in the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational, as Cougar junior Alexandra White finished in fifth place overall.

Teams will tee off in a shotgun start at 9 a.m. PST Monday morning. The event can be followed live through the BYU women’s golf schedule page.
