PROVO, Utah — After tying for fourth place at the Division I Baton Rouge NCAA Regional, BYU senior Lea Garner was named to the 2015-16 All-Region Team by the Women's Golf Coaches Association on Tuesday.

Garner shot 3-under at the NCAA Regional event in Baton Rouge, carding a 69 (-3) in the second round of the tournament.

The senior's eight-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole of round three ultimately helped send BYU women's golf to the NCAA Finals in Eugene, Oregon for the first time since the 2006-07 season.

Garner finished the season earning All-WCC first team honors. The Ogden, Utah native recorded three top-5 and top-10 finishes this season. Garner's best finish of the year came at the WCC Championship April 18-20, as she tied for second place with teammate Rose Huang.

The All-Region Teams are compiled of the top-10 individual finishers and ties at each regional event.
