Huang named WCC women's golfer of the month

 PROVO, Utah — BYU Freshman Rose Huang was named West Coast Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for October, Thursday.

The monthly honor is the first for Huang. She ended October with two top-5 finishes in the Cougars two tournaments. In the Aggie Invitational, Huang finished in fourth place shooting one-under-par through 54 holes, helping the team to a first place finish.

The Hawaii native led Cougars to a first place finish in the Rainbow Wahine Invitational played on her home high school course on the island of Oahu. Huang shot five-under-par for the event, and picked up medalist honors as she finished the tournament in first place. Huang shot an average of 71 per round through the month of October.
