Huang named WCC women's golfer of the month
Rose Huang was named West Coast Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for October, Thursday.
PROVO, Utah — BYU FreshmanThe monthly honor is the first for Huang. She ended October with two top-5 finishes in the Cougars two tournaments. In the Aggie Invitational, Huang finished in fourth place shooting one-under-par through 54 holes, helping the team to a first place finish.
The Hawaii native led Cougars to a first place finish in the Rainbow Wahine Invitational played on her home high school course on the island of Oahu. Huang shot five-under-par for the event, and picked up medalist honors as she finished the tournament in first place. Huang shot an average of 71 per round through the month of October.
