Garner to participate in NCAA Regional Championships

PROVO, Utah – BYU's Lea Garner will participate as an individual golfer in the 2015 Division I St. George Regional Championships next week on May 7-9 in St. George, Utah.

Garner has played strong all season long. She finished in the top 20 eight times and in the top 10 six times. She won the individual title at the Golf Rush Tournament, totaling 216. Her career-low score in a round is 69, which she earned four times at three different tournaments. At the NM Aggie Invitational, she shot a career-low total of 210, which landed her in a tie for sixth place.

This is one of four regional championships that will take place that weekend. The three individuals with the best scores will advance to the championships.

The regional championships will be hosted by BYU in St. George, Utah at Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club. Eighteen holes will be played each day with all tee times set to start at 8 a.m. MDT. Live stats will be available on the BYU women’s golf schedule page. The event is free and open to the public.
