Cougars to tee-off in the 2015 WCC Golf Championships
PROVO, Utah – BYU women’s golf will play in the 2015 West Coast Conference Golf Championships Monday through Wednesday, April 13-15, in Ventura, California.
The three-day tournament will be played at the Saticoy Country Club. The WCC schools that will be represented are: BYU, Gonzaga, Pepperdine, San Francisco and Santa Clara.
The Cougars took third in the championships last year with a team score of 10-over-par. White (220) and Garner (221) led BYU, tying for second and fifth places, respectively.
In the preseason poll, BYU was picked to finish the tournament in fourth place behind No. 21 Pepperdine, Gonzaga and San Francisco. Junior Lea Garner and sophomore Alex White represent the Cougars on the All-WCC preseason team.
BYU met San Francisco April 6-7 for the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, edging them by just one point to finish third overall. The Dons also fell to the Cougars at the BYU Entrada Classic on March 16-17, where BYU carded 876 to finish second and San Francisco finished fourth with 886.
