
Cougars taking on WCC rival Santa Clara at Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational


PROVO, Utah – BYU women’s golf will compete this Monday and Tuesday in the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational, hosted by San José State.
The Cougars tied for third-place two weeks ago at the Gold Rush tournament in Seal Beach, California, where Lea Garner came in first-place overall.
BYU will be among an 11-team field, including Boise State, Fresno State, Nevada and hosts San Jose State, all from the Mountain West Conference. Also participating are Santa Clara (West Coast), Cal State Fullerton (Big West), Mercer (Southern), Missouri (Southeastern) and Portland State (Big Sky).
The two-day, 54-hole tournament will take place at the par-72, 6,143-yard Almaden Golf & Country Club in San José, California. The first and second rounds will be held on Monday, Feb. 23, the third round will be played Tuesday, Feb. 24.
Both days will begin with shotgun starts at 8:30 a.m. PST. Live scoring will be available on the BYU women's golf schedule page.
