Cougars to compete in New Mexico State Invitational
PROVO, Utah – Fresh off a second-place finish at the Cougar Cup, BYU women’s golf is headed to the New Mexico State Invitational in Las Cruces, New Mexico, on Oct. 6-8.
Hosted by New Mexico State, this tournament includes 14 teams, including nearby school Utah Valley. Last year's winner, Portland State, will be participating in the tournament again.
At the Cougar Cup, junior Lea Garner tied for fourth place individually (-1) to lead the team to finish in second place. Senior Maria Yacaman and freshman Kendra Dalton also finished in the top 20, Yacaman (+4) in a tie for eighth place and Dalton (+9) in a tie for 18th place.
The Cougars will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Monday morning. Live scoring is available on the BYU schedule page.
