PULLMAN, Washington – Strong individual performances pushed the BYU women’s golf team to third place after the first day of competition at the Cougar Cup on Monday.

“We were six over in our first six holes and two over in our second 18, which is really good,” BYU head coach Carrie Roberts said. “We strive to do better each round, and we did that.”

Washington State leads all teams after the first day at six-under-par. Idaho is in second place at 10-over-par and BYU is right behind Idaho in third place at 11-over-par.
