Final round of Hobble Creek Fall Classic cancelled
SPRINGVILLE, Utah - The third round of the Hobble Creek Fall Classic was cancelled on Tuesday due to unplayable conditions on the course.
The results from the first two rounds on Monday are now the final results. BYU took third place, shooting 23-over-par. New Mexico State won the tournament with nine-over-par and Santa Clara was the runner-up at 22-over-par.
Junior Lea Garner finished in fifth place individually, shooting three-over-par. Three BYU players, Kendra Dalton, Carly Oldroyd and Maria Yacaman, finished in a tie for 12th shooting eight-over-par. Freshman Sierra Harr made her debut shooting nine-over-par and ending in a tie for 19th place.
The Cougars play their second fall tournament next week, Sept. 15-16, at the Dick McGuire Invitational in Alberqueque, New Mexico.
