White third among individual participants after day 1
CLE ELUM, Wash. - Freshman Alexandra White completed the first round of the NCAA West Regionals tied in 35th place to take third place among the individual participants on Thursday.
"Alex scored well for how she hit today," BYU women's golf coach Carrie Roberts said. "We're looking forward to improving tomorrow and moving up."
Despite starting the back nine with a total of four bogeys, White finished the round with three birdies at 3-over-par and remains nine strokes behind USC's first-place Kyung Kim.
