PROVO, Utah – Maria Yacaman was named to the 2013-14 West Coast Conference Women’s Golf All-Academic Team, the league announced Wednesday.

Yacaman, a junior studying Information Systems, received her the honors after earning a 3.97 cumulative grade point average.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team.

Yacaman competed in five tournaments for the Cougars this season with her best finish coming at the WCC Championships finishing in 20th place at 21-over-par.
