BYU signs 33 new athletes

PROVO, Utah – The BYU track and field and cross country programs announced the addition of 33 signees to complete its 2019 recruiting class.

The BYU men’s program added 17 signees and the women’s program signed 16 athletes. The men’s signing class includes eight state champions with a combined 26 individual state titles. The women’s program also signed eight state champions who boast 25 individual state titles.  The signing class represents nine states from around the country.

Along with the signing class, the Cougars will welcome four athletes transferring from other institutions and 11 athletes returning from serving missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

MEN’S TEAM

LUC ANDRADA – Sprints | Pueblo East HS | Pueblo, Colorado
Personal Bests: 10.51 (100m), 21.21 (200m)

  • Back-to-back CHSAA 4A State Champion in the 100m (2018-19)
