Frentheway receives third straight USTFCCCA All-Academic honor
NEW ORLEANS — BYU women’s cross country runner Aubrey Frentheway was honored for the third consecutive season as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete, the organization announced Jan. 26.
A senior from Cheyenne, Wyoming, Frentheway achieved a 3.58 GPA as a mathematics education major in BYU’s McKay School of Education. With this week’s award, Frentheway joins Olivia Hoj Simister (2017-19) and Tara Northcutt Rohatinsky (1999-2001) as the only BYU women’s cross country runners to receive three USTFCCCA All-Academic citations. Frentheway also recorded three-career WCC All-Academic Team honors (2020-22) along with an honorable mention recognition in 2019.
Success in the classroom correlated with success on the course for Frentheway in 2022. The Cheyenne Central High School product concluded her BYU cross country career in 2022 with a third-career All-American honor, fourth-career All-WCC finish and her first league individual championship.
Frentheway continues her BYU distance running career as the Cougars forge into the heart of indoor track and field season at the Razorback Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas on Jan. 27-28.
