Birk-Jarvis earns second WCC Runner of the Week award

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- Erica Birk-Jarvis received her second West Coast Conference Runner of the Week award of the 2018 season after collecting the honors for the week of October 15.

Birk-Jarvis led No. 9 BYU with a fourth-place finish in the women’s Cardinal race with a time of 20:12.2 at the Pre-Nationals Invitational. The All-American ran with the lead pack the entire race, beating the lead runners from seven ranked schools. The junior’s performance helped the women’s team take fourth overall with 175 points.

After winning both the Autumn Classic and Joe Piane Invitational, Birk-Jarvis has been the Cougars’ top runner all season. She received WCC Runner of the Week honors the second week of the season after winning the Autumn Classic 15 seconds ahead of second place.
