Inclement Weather Cancels LIU Game
PALM SPRINGS -- A torrential downpour cancels the Cougars' last game against Long Island University, sending BYU home with a record at the Cathedral Classic of 1-3.
The game lasted almost one entire inning, but was cut short during BYU's first at-bat in the bottom of the first.
Both teams tried to wait the weather out, but when there was no sign of quitting, the coaches reached a mutual agreement to just cancel the game.
The Cougars head home today, and will gear up for the upcoming Texas A&M Tournament in College Station, Texas. The tournament will start on March 4 when the Cougars play Texas A&M at 6 p.m. (CST).
