PROVO, Utah – Gordy Bravo earned Player of the Week honors while sophomore McKenna Bull received a second-straight Pitcher of the Week award, the West Coast Conference announced Monday.

Averaging .579 from the plate with 11 hits in 19 at-bats, the junior Bravo sparked BYU to a 3-2 mark at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic including two doubles, eight RBI and three stolen bases. She also recorded a .684 slugging percentage, an OBP of .545 and hit 5-for-7 with runners in scoring position.

The outfielder out of Corona, California, tallied a career-high four RBI in a 5-3 win over Indiana and followed that up with a 3-for-3 performance in a 14-5 win over Oregon State, extending her hitting streak to 13 games–tied for 10th-longest in BYU history.

Bull, the sophomore ace, fueled the Cougars from the circle last weekend, helping the team to a 9-6 overall record–BYU’s best start through 15 games since 2012.

While improving to 9-3 on the season, the Ogden, Utah, native recorded a 1.98 ERA while striking out 28 batters, tying a career high with 14 batters fanned in the extra-inning game against Maryland. She threw three complete games while starting four and appearing in all five, totaling 28.1 innings out of the 34.2 total.

The Cougars continue this week as they face Nevada, Northern Colorado and Southern Illinois in the Triple Crown Puerto Vallarta College Challenge Thursday through Saturday.
