PROVO -- For the second time this season, No. 110 Evan Urbina earned Mountain West Conference Tennis Player of the Week after a well-fought match against Montana State.

Urbina, a senior from Huntington Beach, Calif., defeated opponent Pawl Tursanzki in straight sets Friday (7-6, 6-4) and teamed up with freshman Patrick Kawka to take down Turzanski and Fletcher Keyes 8-3, both victories on Court 1.

After a successful fall tournament season, including a nine-match winning streak, team captain Urbina has increased his singles record to 19-7 and is currently undefeated on Court 1. With Kawka, Urbina reached the Mountain Region finals in doubles. The duo leads the team with a 12-6 record.

The Cougars are heading to California again this weekend to take on Stanford at 1 p.m.
