Dominguez and Nicolas to represent Cougars in World Swimming Championships
PROVO, Utah — Josue Dominguez and Javier Nicolas will head to Melbourne, Australia this week to compete in the 2022 FINA World Swimming Championships, Dec. 13-18.
Dominguez will be competing in four events throughout the week. On Thursday, Dec. 14, he will race in the 4x50m medley relay in addition to the 100m breaststroke. He will follow those events up by participating in the 4x50m mixed freestyle relay on Friday, Dec. 16 and the 50m breaststroke on Saturday, Dec. 17.
Nicolas will also be competing in five events during the championships. He will begin his competitions on Wednesday, Dec. 14 in the 4x50m medley and breaststroke. On Thursday, Dec. 15 he will race in the 100m IM, followed by the 4x50m freestyle on Friday, Dec. 16 and the 100m butterfly on Saturday, Dec. 17.
Heats will be held in the morning sessions each day, with semifinal and final events held in the evening sessions. The events will be held at the Melbourne Sports Aquatics Center.
