Prolo, Strauss close out season for BYU swim and dive at NCAA Championships
MINNEAPOLIS — The BYU swim and dive teams officially closed out their season as a team Saturday morning, as Mickey Strauss and Brad Prolo represented the Cougars for the final time of the 2023 season in their respective events at the last day of the NCAA Championships.
Prolo completed another outstanding season for the Cougars, finishing the year by competing in the 200-yard butterfly. He would go on to finish his highest ranking of the weekend, placing 30th after swimming a 1:43.50 with 22.83, 26.27, 26.96 and 27.44 splits. His time in the event was just .24 seconds away from tying his career best for the stroke.
Strauss also closed out his spectacular senior year, competing in the platform event for the final time this season. He went on to score a 280.50, good for 39th among 47 total competitors.
