PROVO, Utah – Georgia Tech hosts BYU’s men’s and women’s dive teams throughout a three-day invitational beginning on Thursday Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. EST.

“This invitational will be a great opportunity for this new team to see the competition from the East Coast and prepare for platform competitions at a higher level,” said head BYU diving coach Tyce Routson. “This invite has a format which is similar to the NCAA’s qualifying meet, which will require more dives and consistency against the nation’s best performances. We also get to see where we stand on platform competition from the 10-meter, a level we don’t get to train at with our home facilities.”

There will be 10 participating dive teams, including Auburn, whose men are currently ranked No. 7. The invitational will begin on Thursday Nov. 17 and will be held through Saturday Nov. 19 with competition beginning daily at 10 a.m. The women’s 3-meter event will be the ninth event on Thursday and the men’s 1-meter diving will follow right after. Finals for the respective events will take place Thursday evening, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

On Friday, the women’s 1-meter will be the 13th event and the men’s 3-meter diving will be the 14th. Saturday will highlight platform diving for the women and men in the 12th and 13th events. Finals will once again take place at 5:30 p.m. on each day.

Swimming and diving events will be included in the invitational, but BYU will only be participating in the diving portion of the meet.
