PROVO, Utah – (November 14, 2013) Diver Nicholas Suder of BYU was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation/TURBO Male Athlete of the Week for his outstanding performance in competition against UNLV last weekend.

The junior from Littleton, Colo., won both diving events against the Runnin’ Rebels, scoring a 322.58 on the 1-meter board and a 309.90 on the 3-meter. This marked the second year in a row that he took first in both events against UNLV. Suder also currently ranks second in conference on both 1-meter and 3-meter boards.

Last year Suder was named MPSF Male Diver of the Year for his high performances and first-place finishes on the diving board. He stole the spotlight, winning both 1-meter and 3-meter at the MPSF Diving Championship, scoring 328.65 and 35.95, respectively. Suder was also named all-MPSF first team for those performances in the championship.

Suder travels to Tucson, Ariz. next with the men’s and women’s diving teams to compete in the Wildcat Diving Invite, next Friday and Saturday, Nov. 22-23.
