In a Position to Make a Run
PALO ALTO, Calif. –BYU’s tandem of Zac Blair and Justin Keiley used momentum from round one to spark solid scores in round two at the NCAA Regionals on Friday.
"It was a great day for golf and there were a lot of good scores," BYU coach Bruce Brockbank said. "Both our guys played solid rounds."
Blair matched his first round score with a second round 4-under 66, but still slipped into second place, one stroke off the lead.
“Zac left a few out there coming in, but still another quality round,” Brockbank said. “At the beginning of the year everyone wants to play in the national championships and he has a chance. It’s exciting and maybe another good round will get him there.”
Keiley, who shot 1-over in round one, shot a 2-under 68, moving from 40th to 24th and is just one stroke outside of the top 20.
The tournament will conclude on Saturday.
